Trainers
An independent trainer is licensed by the institute and keeps all of their tuition.
The licence rule
Level 5 in a strand plus level 3 in strand 15 licenses an independent trainer for that strand. Their learners certify through the institute at the standard fee; the trainer sets their own tuition.
The licence is personal to the trainer, listed on the public register, and renewed with the Luminary contribution record.
Fees and tuition
What the institute takes
- The standard assessment fee for each learner, paid by the learner to the institute.
What the institute does not take
- Any share of tuition. The trainer sets their own tuition.
Listing on the register
Licensed trainers appear on the public register with their licensed strands. A learner can confirm a licence there before enrolling.
