A currency pulse is a 20 minute live check on what changed in the strand in the last period: new tools, new threats, new rules. Levels 3 and 4 need one a year to stay valid; anyone may sit them.

Fast strands
These strands change quickest. Their pulses matter most.
Lapsed currency does not remove a credential. The register shows the level as held, currency lapsed.
